Top Selling Neighborhoods in Matthews NC--First Half 2013

What were the top selling neighborhoods in Matthews NC during the first half of 2013?   The median closed price of $239,400 in the second quarter 2013 jumped 39% over the first quarter to become the highest number since 2007.  Almost all sales were market resales showing that there is very little new construction in Matthews.  The Heathers was the most active neighborhood with 12 homes sold.  Distressed sales, including foreclosures and short sales, accounted for less than 10% of all sales. 

Here are the top ten neighborhoods in the Town of Matthews listed by most homes sold.

  1. The Heathers  12 homes sold with an average price of $176,569
  2. Brightmoor  7 homes sold with an average price of $173,271
  3. Ashley Creek  6 homes sold with an average price of $243,066
  4. Sardis Forest  5 homes sold with an average price of $185,950
  5. Weddington Ridge  5 homes sold with an average price of $219,980
  6. Courtney  4 homes sold with an average price of $226,375
  7. Greylock  4 homes sold with an average price of $324,748
  8. Providence Manor   4 homes sold with an average price of $419,000
  9. Southwoods  4 homes sold with an average price of $169,750
  10. Sardis Plantation  4 homes sold with an average price of $276,375
