Brookhaven--Neighborhood Information and Homes for Sale
Discover Brookhaven, a Charlotte neighborhood where you can walk your
children to elementary school.

Brookhaven is one of a few Union
County neighborhoods that are adjacent to one of the County’s
highly-regarded schools. Antioch Elementary School is next door. Imagine
walking with your children to class and enjoying Brookhaven’s resort-style
community amenities when school is out. The kids can spend hours at the
Brookhaven Aquatics Park slipping down the waterslide, floating along the lazy
river and splashing under the water geysers. The neighborhood recreation
area also offers a playground plus basketball and tennis courts. A 7000 square
foot Residents Club has meeting, fitness, game, media, card, lounge and kitchen
facilities.
Tree-lined streets with sidewalks and wooded common areas with walking and
bicycling paths wind through Brookhaven. The community is organized into three
villages. Most of the 500-home neighborhood is located in Indian
Trail with one of the villages, The Preserve at Brookhaven, located in Weddington.
The villages were designed to offer homes in different price points. You
can find smaller homes with Craftsman and Charleston styling on quarter acre
lots in one of the villages. Estate homes with full-brick exteriors are found
on one-third to half-acre lots in the other villages. Homes range in size from
3000 square feet to over 5000 square feet. Some basement homes are
available.
Brookhaven construction began in 2004 by The John Weiland Home. Home
construction is nearly complete in the neighborhood.
Brookhaven’s location near South Charlotte offers residents access to I-485
and to an abundance of shopping and restaurants. The Siskey YMCA is just a
short drive from the neighborhood as is historic downtown Matthews with
its farmers market and community festivals.
