A landscaped traffic circle invites you into Callonwood. Across the circle,
the Callonwood Amenity Center beckons you to try out the water slide or lounge
around the pool on a hot summer day. Or enjoy a gathering of your neighbors
inside the clubhouse.
Callonwood offers homes for every lifestyle and life stage.
If you would like a cozy home with a front porch and a small yard, you’ll
like Callonwood’s Craftsman-style bungalows. Many of these homes are ranches
giving active adults and seniors options for one-level living. If you prefer
that a homeowners association handle all exterior maintenance, you might like
Callonwood’s attached townhomes. Located within walking distance of the Amenity
Center, these townhomes have garages accessed by rear alleyways.
Perhaps your family needs a larger home on a larger lot. You can find homes
in the Estates section of Callonwood with 3000 to 5000 square feet. Some have
basements. Lots there are at least a third acre in size.
The Callonwood Residents Park is located near the Estates section of the
neighborhood. The Residents Park has a picnic shelter and picnic tables, a
playground, and sports fields for baseball and soccer.
Construction in Callonwood began in 2003 and the 500-home neighborhood is
nearly complete. Some construction continues in the Estates.
One of Callonwood’s best features is its location. You’ll find it just
inside Union
County, a few minutes from historic downtown Matthews.
It has a Matthews mailing address but is located within the small town of Stallings.
Everything you need is nearby: grocery stores and other shopping, the Siskey
branch of the YMCA, I-485 interchange, and a farmers market, library, quaint
shops and community festivals in Matthews.
