Video--Christmas Season in Charlotte NC Small Towns
The small towns in the Charlotte area celebrate the Christmas season with public events that start before Thanksgiving and last until New Year's Day. You can watch parades in Monroe, Indian Trail and Waxhaw. Just about every town has a Christmas tree lighting. The Matthews tree lighting always ends with snow. There are Christmas teas in Mint Hill and Matthews. The Matthews Community Center hosts productions of The Nutcracker and a Christmas concert. There's also caroling and Santa and crafts for the kids.
