Indian Trail NC Opens New Crossing Paths Park
Indian Trail NC Opens New Crossing Paths Park
The newest park in Indian Trail NC is called the Crossing Paths Park. Located adjacent to the town hall on Blythe Road, Crossing Paths Park is the culmination of two years of planning and construction by the town.

The Crossing Paths name comes from Indian Trail’s slogan and refers to the town’s history. Indian Trail is located along the route of a colonial trading path with the Waxhaw Indians.
Crossing Paths Park is designed to host community events and festivals. Brick pillars with black fencing announce the entrance to the park. A bandshell at one end of the park will provide a place for musical acts and performances. The center of the park is a grassy open area for spectators. A walkway with benches circles the park. A children’s playground is located in one corner of the park.

The grand opening of Crossing Paths Park will be celebrated on May 14th, 2011 from 5-9pm. Indian Trail residents can enjoy live entertainment, an artisan market and games. The evening will end with a fireworks display.

Prior to the grand opening, Crossing Paths Park will host Arbor Day/Earth Day celebrations hosted jointly by the towns of Indian Trail and Stallings on April 30, 2011 from 10am-2pm. Tree classes, crafts and live entertainment will be available for participants.
