Charlotte NC Short Sales and Loan Modifications--Why Do They Get Turned Down?
Charlotte NC Short Sales and Loan Modifications--Why Do They Get Turned Down?
When I speak with Charlotte NC home buyers about "short sale" properties, the conversation often turns to the difficulty of closing these properties. It's not easy to understand why a lender would foreclose on a property rather than take a short sale where the lender will most likely net more than from a foreclosure. I have the same questions from Charlotte NC home sellers who are considering asking their lender for a loan modification or alternatively are considering selling their property as a short sale.
Here is a link to a great article from a Katerina Gassett, a real estate agent in Wellington Florida, who explains some of the reasons that your Charlotte NC short sale or loan modification might get turned down by your lender.
